TFT Cheat Sheet for Set 11, Inkborn Fables

How to use the TFT Cheat Sheet:

1. Most units have 2 traits, 1 class and 1 origin (some units have 3 traits). Start by focusing on exactly one primary carry and then building outwards and matching traits.

2. Activate your carry’s damage class (AP or AD) synergy.

3. Activate your carry's origin synergy with a frontline unit.

4. Activate you frontline unit's class synergy with another unit. Bonus points if it activates multiple synergies!

5. Add in units to hit the higher tiers of traits for your primary carry.

6. Add in splashable traits that can be activated by one unit. Avoid selfish traits that don’t match your important units.

Example Use Case

I know that it may look confusing at first, but let’s walk through an example!

1. Let’s say we hit an early Kayn and we want to carry him. Kayn is Ghostly + Reaper.

2. We want another unit to activate Kayn's major damage class, Reaper. So looking at the Reaper column, our options are Kindred, Kha’zix, or Yone. Let's add Yone.

3. We want a frontline unit that activates Kayn's origin, Ghostly. Looking at the Ghostly row, it has frontline units in all 3 options: Aatrox as a Bruiser, Illaoi as a Warden, or Shen as a Behemoth. You might choose to play whichever one you happened to upgrade first. Let's add Shen.

4. We want to activate Shen's frontline class now, Behemoth. Using the Cheat Sheet, we see we can add Yorick who is a Behemoth that also pairs with our Yone for Umbral!

5. Now we can add in 2 more Reapers or 2 more Ghostlys to hit the higher tier of our main traits. This can depend on what your random shops offer you. Let's add Morgana and Illaoi for 4 Ghostly. If we have extra offensive items, Morgana can be our AP duo carry.

6. We have 6 units so far. Illaoi gives us 1/2 Arcanist and Morgana gives us 1/2 Sage, which are both splashable team-wide traits. We can add in a Neeko for Arcanist and Wukong for Sage, and these two units also match with each other to activate Heavenly.

So here is our comp we arrived at using the cheat sheet and building out traits starting with our primary carry, Kayn. As you progress throughout the game, you will want to replace your cheaper costs with higher tier units. For example, one clean swap we can do here is replacing Yorick for Sett, losing Behemoth but gaining Warden.

Closing Thoughts

Always make sure you have a good mix of defense and offense!

There are 7 units that have 3 traits (Kog'maw, Aatrox, Neeko, Illaoi, Zoe, Riven, Sett) and may be played more often.

There are also 4 pairs (Ahri + Syndra, Kog'maw + Lillia, Riven + Galio, Lux + Lissandra) who share both of their traits. This can make it easy to transition from the low tier unit into the high tier unit, or alternatively play them together.

Some 5-costs have unique traits (Spirit Walker, Lover, Great) that mostly exist for flavor rather than gameplay reasons- you can think of these as a second ability. These were not included in the table except for Artist, which was necessary since Hwei effectively only has 1 trait.

Not all comps created using the TFT Cheat Sheet flowchart style will be incredible, but they should be pretty solid as long as you aren’t using too many cheap units. Almost every single top tier meta comp can be created using this style of building out traits from your primary carry. Have fun innovating!
