TFT Cheat Sheet for Set 12, Magic n' Mayhem
How to use the TFT Cheat Sheet:
Most units have 2 traits, 1 class and 1 origin (some units have 3 traits). Start by focusing on exactly one primary carry and then building outwards and matching traits.
Activate your carry’s damage class synergy.
Activate your carry's origin synergy with a frontline unit.
Activate you frontline unit's class synergy with another unit. Bonus points if it activates multiple synergies!
Add in units to hit the higher tiers of traits for your primary carry.
Add in splashable traits that can be activated by one unit. Avoid selfish traits that don’t match your important units.

Example Use Case
Let’s say we hit an early Varus and we want to carry him. Varus is Pyro + Blaster.
We want another unit to activate Varus’s major damage class, Blaster. Let's add Rumble.
We want a frontline unit that activates Varus’s origin, Pyro. Let's add Shen.
We want to activate Shen's frontline class now, Bastion. Let’s add Hecarim.
Now we can add in more Pyros or more Blasters to hit the higher tier of our main traits. Let's add Akali and Nasus for 4 Pyro.
We have 6 units so far with 1/2 Arcana and 1/2 Vanguard which can both be filled by Tahm Kench, and we also have 1/2 Sugarcraft, and 1/2 Warrior which can both be filled by Gwen. Note that Gwen’s traits are purely selfish, so normally she may not provide much value; however, here she could be a great user for any AP items that we are unable to use with our Varus primary carry.
Additional Info
Always make sure you have a good mix of defense and offense!
There are 7 units that have 3 traits (Zoe, Akali, Galio, Rumble, Zilean, Bard, Hecarim) and may be played more often.
There are also 5 pairs (Twitch + Olaf, Elise + Briar, Zoe + Ryze, Jax + Camille, Galio + Norra & Yuumi) who share both of their traits. This can make it easy to transition from the low tier unit into the high tier unit, or alternatively play them together.
Some 5-costs have unique traits (Ascendant, Best Friends, Bat Queen, Ravenous) that mostly exist for flavor rather than gameplay reasons- you can think of these as a second ability. These were not included in the table except for Ascendant, which was necessary since Xerath effectively only has 1 trait.
Druid Wukong is not included on the table, who is a 3 cost frontliner.
Not all comps created using the TFT Cheat Sheet flowchart style will be incredible, but they should be pretty solid as long as you aren’t using too many cheap units. Almost every single top tier meta comp can be created using this style of building out traits from your primary carry.
